Mike Sensenich!
Mike Sensenich is the ultimate "Diamond Doctor"! His gorgeous custom one-of-a-kind rings are custom made and truly a mark of his amazing craftsmanship! These unique pieces keep women coming back from all over the country!
Mike started working in the store with his parents, Hershel and Betty Sensenich, in 1966, but like Eric he has helped in the store most of his life! Mike's vast knowledge leaves little he doesn't know about! Ask him anything! He'll not only tell you the background, details, and specifics, he will tell you the absolute truth about the diamond or piece you're asking about! His integrity, ethics, and professionalism make him the "Doctor" to trust!
Repairing rare and old watches, clocks, and stones are something that takes time and most places just don't do anymore… not Mike. He understands how important your antique piece may be and treats each treasure with the love and care it deserves to be restored to its original glory! He says that his favorite stone has to be the diamond and favorite color is Gold! His favorite part of working in the store is working with the customers to create pieces of jewelry and working with different generations selling parents their engagement rings and then doing the same with their children!
Mike grew up in Brookfield until the age of five, when they moved to Chillicothe. He graduated from High School in 1970 when he was given a scholarship to attend an elite watch making school in Switzerland. He returned to married his sweetheart, Becky in 1977. They have two children: Kelly, who is married to Doug Martin and have two children Austin and Kaden, and Eric who is married to Brandy. Brandy and Eric just welcome baby Gabriel into the family!
When Mike has free time he loves to do woodworking and as everyone who comes in the store knows, Fireworks! Mike is on the University Extension, 4-H Trust Foundation, Properties Committee at the United Methodist Church, and is an Alumni of Watch Makers of Switzerland Training and Educational Program.
Mike says that his most memorable moment while working in the store was when he sat down and carved his first wax to create his first piece of Jewelry – and he hasn’t stopped with just that one! Mike can be seen in the store any day but Tuesday! Stop by for a visit… you'll walk away with a smile.
Eric Sensenich
Eric Sensenich has been working in the store most of his life, but in 1998 was when he became really involved. Continuing the family tradition of excellence, he followed in his father's footsteps to become an official "Diamond Doctor"! Eric also specializes in watch repair, engraving special messages inside of your ring, and the tedious attention to detail that has made their store famous.
Eric's fun-loving personality and enthusiasm for Diamonds makes you instantly feel you have a friend for life. Like his Dad, he is always looking out for your best interest! Eric says his favorite part of the day is getting to meet new people as they select pieces that will stay in their family for generations to come. He considers it an honor to be a part of that personal decision! His favorite stone is the Sapphire and he LOVES watches!
Eric grew up in Chillicothe and graduated from Chillicothe High School in 2002 and from Missouri Western State University in 2006 with Bachelors in Business Management. Even though he is in the jewelry business it he said it was still a difficult task to find an engagement ring for his wife, Brandy, of over 5 years. He has two nephews, Austin and Kaden, that he loves a lot and a dog, Roxie that he loves most of the time! Brandy and Eric just welcomed their first son into the world, Gabriel, and he truly is the sparkle of his Daddy's eye! Just ask Eric about his son and you can instantly see how much that little guy has his daddy right where he wants him!
When Eric has free time he loves to swim, water ski, snow ski, play volleyball, camp, and woodworking. Eric is a member of the Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce Board, the Chillicothe Area Arts Council Board, and the Main Street Chillicothe Promotions Committee. He was involved in 4-H most of his life as well.
Eric says that his most memorable moment in the store was when someone was sizing a ring in the repair shop and he happened to walk back there, talking to other people who were in the repair shop, and happened to look down and a plastic tub where tools are kept was on fire! He said that he will never forget that, it was hilarious. Eric can be seen in the store Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. He's not supposed to work on Tuesday, but you'll usually find him there. If he's not… he's probably curled up with that adorable new baby boy Gabriel!
Becky Sensenich
Has been working at Sensenich Jeweler since 1986! She started right after she married the Diamond Doctor himself, Mike. She, like her husband is well versed in every aspect of the diamond business. You can go to her for engraving, pearl stringing and mail out. As most women, her favorite stone is the diamond – big ones!! Her favorite part of working in the store she said would have to be “helping customers”! Her kind, gentle nature makes you instantly feel at easy. She is definitely the "Mom" of the store and always makes you feel taken care of!
Becky was born and raised in Spickard and Laredo, but moved to Chillicothe when she married Mike and has been here since. She has been married to Mike Sensenich for 35 years. She has one son, Eric and one daughter in law, Brandy. She has one daughter, Kelly and son in law, Doug, and their children, her grandchildren, Austin and Kaden and new baby Gabriel! Her mother is JoAnn Henderson, and father and mother in law Hershel and Betty Sensenich. She also wants to add that she has a dog named Murphy and two cats at home, Cloudy and Mouse.
Becky loves to read, play volley ball and bowl. When her children were in 4-H she was very involved as a leader!
Becky says that her most memorable moment in the store would have to be every Easter when they have the coloring contest. She loves seeing the children’s faces when they come in to pick up the Easter baskets that they win! Becky can be found in the store Monday-Wednesday and Friday and Saturday.
Brandy Sensenich!
And now for the newest addition, Brandy Sensenich… Seems to be the Sensenich men know how to convince their wives to work with diamonds! (Can't imagine that was a hard sell!) Brandy started working for the family business since 2008 after she married Eric. Her passion and enthusiasm show every time she helps a customer. Her knowledge is amazing and you can go to her for some of your repair needs; sizing, fixing breaks in rings or necklaces, prong work, and ring shanks. And ladies… she knows BLING! Ask her about the latest trends, hottest looks, and unique pieces!
Her favorite part of working at the store is the history of the store and its customers. “For a small town family business to be around for 56 years and be in the third generations of family to be in the store is awesome! And then you hear the customers tell the wonderful stories of getting her engagement sets in there while they are picking out a mothers ring…AWESOME to be a part of!” Her favorite stone is the Alexandrite, and of course the Diamond!
Brandy grew up in Linn County, MO graduating from Linn County R-1 in 2002, then from Missouri Western State University in 2006 with Bachelors in Social Work. She married Eric Sensenich on September 16, 2006 and now currently lives in Chillicothe, MO. Brandy has a new man in her life! Little Gabriel has won her heart and has the "melt your heart smile" that will definitely come in handy when he's the next "Diamond Doctor" later in life! She says that they have a Beagle, Roxie, and two great nephews, Austin and Kaden, that they always love to spoil! Her mother and father, Roy and Linda Forbes, live in Brookfield MO with her sister Sarah, and Brothers Lucas and Matthew! Her Grandmother Emma Lee also lives in Brookfield. Her other grandmother and great grandmother, Tina and Nonna, Live in St. Petersburg, Fl!
When Brandy has free time she loves to be outside walking, and planting flowers, she likes spending time with family and friends, going to the lake, snow skiing, and camping! She is also a member of Beta Sigma Phi, volunteers for the Chillicothe Arts Council and Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce and Main Street! Growing up she was in 4-H and a very active in FFA. Recently their lives changed forever with the birth of their son and she truly enjoys every aspect of being his Mom!
Brandy says that she has two memorable moments in the store; the first one was when she was involved in selling her first wedding set with her husband. The ring was set and done and the gentleman was in there to pick up the finished product, “it is so sweet seeing the guys so nervous, it is at like they are at one of the most vulnerable moments in their life” his poor hands were shaking he could hardly pick the ring box up! The second one was right after she was married to Eric and got him a plain wedding band for the 1 year anniversary, she wanted to have something engraved in the inside of it, since Eric does that her and Becky came up with engraving “XOXO B” and had Eric do it! They put an alias name on the envelope and Eric engraved it! “Seeing Eric’s face when he looked inside the ring was priceless! I will never forget that!” Brandy can be seen in the store most days except Friday.
Sherry Thomas
Sherry has worked for Sensenich Jeweler since 1998. You can go to her for all of your ordering needs for that special occasion. She knows people and she knows diamonds! She knows just where to find "that special piece" you're looking for! She says that her favorite part of working here is how “it is so wonderful to see people come in and pick up that finished product and be overwhelmed with the outcome.” Her favorite stone is also the Diamond, and colored stone the Sapphire.
Sherry grew up in Chillicothe and has been married to Dale Thomas (Building Superintend for United Methodist Church) for 25 years. They have three wonderful children; LeDawn 23, Adam 20, and Andrew 19. LeDawn is to be married on August 21, 2010 to Scott Beck of Harrisburg, MO.
When Sherry has free time she likes to go eat out with friends. Sherry is also involved in Beta Sigma Phi and the United Methodist Church. She has been involved in the Girl Scouts for most of her life, first as a participant, then as a leader. She has received her God and Country Award and her Silver and Gold Award. As a child she was a member of 4-H, she was in cooking and clothing! Sherry is a sweetheart and will treat you like family from the moment she meets you!
Sherry says that her most memorable experience in the store was when she sold her first engagement set, the look of excitement and feelings they expressed she'll never forget! Sherry can be found in the store any day of the week!
Sandi Hinnen
Sandi Hinnen has worked part time for Sensenich Jeweler since 2004 as a sales associate! She says that her favorite part of working here is the atmosphere and the people! Her favorite stone is Diamond, and she also likes Opals and Mystic Topaz! She says that the least part of working in the store is the cleaning!
Sandi grew up in Chillicothe and has been married 29 years to Les Hinnen. She says that she has two lovely poodles, Jasmine and Daisy; oh yeah, and two daughters Monica and Jessica, and one son-in-law Erik, who is Monica's loving husband.
Sandi’s hobbies include cross stitching, walking her puppies, spending time with her daughters and shopping! She is a member of Beta Sigma Phi and was the leader for Girl Scouts for 6 years. Her favorite color is yellow and purple!
Sandi says that her most memorable moment in the store a couple that came, they were getting engaged so looking for rings. She said that the women fell in love with the ring that she wanted in less than 15 minutes. The gentlemen, however, took over an hour to find a band, “which rarely happens…they both left very happy!” Sandi can be found in the store at anytime Wednesday through Saturday with a friendly smile on her face!
